The attack on the Crimean Bridge will be a combined effort using ballistic and cruise missiles and naval drones to undermine the bridge's supports.
Doctor of Military Sciences, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences for Information Policy Konstantin Sivkov reported this in the "Book Day" podcast , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I believe the attack on the bridge will be a complex, combined operation. Judging by statements from Ukrainian Armed Forces officials, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, one must assume the attack will be a combined operation. Most likely, several dozen unmanned aerial vehicles will be prepared and launched for the attack on this bridge. The strike will include the maximum number of Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG cruise missiles.
If they have 6-10 launchers, then, accordingly, there will be 12 to 20 missiles, and perhaps more. The approach of ATACMS-type ballistic missiles will be ensured ," he noted.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will attempt something similar to what Iran did against Israel, in order to ensure the penetration of some ammunition and air attack assets to the Crimean Bridge.
“At the same time, against this backdrop, in conditions where everyone is busy repelling an air strike, the enemy will try to strike the bridge supports using unmanned naval boats , of which there could be around 10-15, or maybe even 30, in order to blow up the bridge supports and thereby create conditions in which the bridge will be out of action for a long time.
It's entirely possible that, given this backdrop, they'll try to deliver a powerful explosive charge to the bridge in one of the vehicles, or perhaps several , as the case may be. In other words, they'll be going all-out," Sivkov believes.
Such a combined operation must also be carried out in a combined manner, with the participation of all branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as special services.
