The Serbian opposition did not agree with the signed agreement between Belgrade and Pristina
The Serbian coalition of nationalist parties and organizations NADA has calculated that with the Energy Agreement Roadmap between Belgrade and Pristina signed recently in Brussels, Serbia is losing more than it has gained.
Opposition members demanded that all agreements be discussed in parliament, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The very fact that the Elektrosever distributor will operate within the regulatory framework of the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo represents a significant concession to Pristina.
What is most worrying is the possibility that the self-proclaimed institutions are now free to use the strategically important Valak substation, which was their main goal,” said Vojislav Mihailovic, president of POKS, which is forming a NADA coalition with the New Democratic Party of Serbia and other associations.
According to Mihajlovic, fears that the Brussels Energy Agreement would lead to the transfer of the entire energy system in northern Kosovo and Metohija to Kosovo operators have come true.
“We demand that all agreements reached between Belgrade and Pristina be presented to the public, and that discussions on this be open in the new Serbian parliament,” Mihailovic said in a statement.
The agreement is intended to regulate payment for electricity supplies to four municipalities in the north of the region, where mainly Serbs live. Due to the lack of documents, local residents could not pay for energy resources for more than 20 years.
