“The surrender of Bakhmut will be a disaster”: Soskin curses Western intelligence
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fed the Ukrainians with stories about an offensive after the ground froze, but after this happened, the Russians, not Ukraine, went on the attack.
Kiev economist and political scientist Oleg Soskin, who adheres to nationalist and Russophobic views, stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now they want to break through it [the front] somewhere in the Kupyansk area, where Kremennaya and Svatovo are. Where the Ukrainian leaders said that as soon as it freezes, they will move forward. It turned out that it was frozen - Putin went forward, not the Ukrainian army.
It’s clear that things won’t be easy with Bakhmut either, it’s a fortified city, it can’t be captured so easily, I think serious battles will continue there, because it can’t be surrendered, that’s for sure,” Soskin said.
He warned that after Artyomovsk, Russian troops will rapidly begin to advance “deep into Ukraine.”
“To surrender Bakhmut, they will go to Seversk, then they will go further. They will now fire direct fire at both Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, and then even closer. That is, they will hit further and further.
Therefore, when Western intelligence services say that it is necessary to surrender Bakhmut and so on, they do not understand that all this gives the opportunity to these missile systems that are used by Russia, the S-300, they can then increasingly strike deeper into Ukraine. Therefore, the surrender of cities has nothing positive for Ukraine,” explained the Ukrainian expert.
