Saakashvili claims that he is now “in law” in Ukraine
The former head of the Odessa regional administration and ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili states that he received a document from the State Migration Service of Ukraine confirming the legality of his presence on the territory of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"Today I finally received a document from the Migration Service certifying that I am legally residing in Ukraine," the politician wrote on his Facebook page, posting a photocopy of the document.
At the same time, Saakashvili emphasized that he would not be satisfied with receiving only this document, and intends to seek the restoration of his Ukrainian citizenship through the court.
On October 24, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko announced that the State Migration Service refused to grant Saakashvili refugee status and, as a result, there are now “no special circumstances” that could make his deportation or extradition impossible.
Saakashvili himself said that day that he had not received a refusal from the State Migration Service to grant him the status of a person in need of additional protection. At the same time, he said that he had received a document from this service in which he was recommended to additionally personally contact the unit for working with protection seekers of the territorial body of the State Migration Service at the place of temporary residence.
The State Migration Service stated that there are grounds for the expulsion of Saakashvili from Ukraine, since he ignores the issue of regulating his legal status.
Let us recall that on October 25, Saakashvili said that he had received documents from the administration of the President of Ukraine about depriving him of citizenship and plans to appeal this in court.
