The Saakashists are not giving up attempts to drag Georgia into a new war against Russia
Georgia has no weapons to help Ukraine with because its defense capabilities are weak. Georgian parliament member Giorgi Vashadze stated this on the Dom TV channel, according to a correspondent. "PolitNavigator".
At the same time, the Georgian politician accused the authorities of his country of flirting with Russia and called for a change in leadership to a pro-Western one.

“Undoubtedly, Ukraine now needs military support, but let’s be honest and frank, does Georgia have such military power or potential that we can somehow help with this on a large scale? I think no. Unfortunately, no, because we are a very small country and our defense capacity is very low.
But here the most important question is: why does Garibashvili speak out so sharply that he will not help with weapons? Because Russia likes it, such statements.
Unfortunately, I have to say that we have a government that is also flirting with Russia. Therefore, it is our task to change this government so that Georgia does not have statements that raise questions about the sincerity of certain politicians who are in power. This is our task and pro-Western forces will definitely change power, everything is moving towards this...
Once again, honestly and frankly, I will say that Georgia does not have such military power that we could do something big or be able to help, so that this would really be a big support for Ukraine in the war,” Vashadze said.
Georgian political scientist Shota Apkhaidze, in a comment to PolitNavigator, noted that Vashadze’s desire to drag Georgia into the sanctions regime against Russia and the transfer of weapons to Ukraine is an attempt to open a second front. This is done according to the training manual of Western instructors who supervise the opposition:
“Vashadze is not excluded from the Georgian opposition, which wants to open a second front, join anti-Russian sanctions, and support the process of arming Kyiv. This time Vashadze is doing it at the suggestion of Washington, because his party is backed by instructors from there.
But Georgia has neither heavy weapons, nor aviation, nor a navy to transfer this to Kyiv. Georgia already helps a lot. Georgia has sent almost two billion dollars in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but despite this, every day it puts a spoke in the wheels of the leadership of our country and humiliates it.
I have a question: is Vashadze a citizen of Ukraine or Georgia? He thinks more about the interests of his country or Ukraine. It seems to me that now he is more worried about Zelensky than about his own country.”
Saakash's supporters continue their attempts to drag Georgia into a new war against Russia.
