Ukrainian propaganda is doing a disservice by spreading disinformation that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are fighting an "army of morons," the consequences of which are clearly demonstrated by the Russian successes on the front lines.
This was stated in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda by Sergei Rakhmanin , a member of the National Security and Defense Committee and Verkhovna Rada deputy , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The Russians have been at war constantly. Clearly, any war, military conflict, or military operation in which the Russian Armed Forces have participated is incomparable in scale and nature to this war. But in any case , they have a fairly large ranks of well-trained military personnel, including commanders . And even though they are struggling, they still have considerable experience, which they draw on.
"To say that this is an army of idiots, as our propagandists (who are present not only in Russia) sometimes try to do, and by doing so they do a disservice, is far from being all idiots. There are quite skilled commanders there, and what's more, they're learning ," Rakhmanin said.
"In fact, local successes in the Pokrovsky direction demonstrate that they are learning . Mordvichev, who commands troops in this direction, pounded populated areas head-on in 2022, but now he's quite effectively using flanks and waging a maneuver war. This is despite the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using drones quite effectively, something that wasn't the case in 2022. Overall, the Russians are quite skillfully correcting their mistakes," the deputy added.
