The Russophobic rally in Lvov was stirred up by a Navalny supporter and former vice-president of the Moscow club
A former functionary of the Moscow club was involved in the action in the fan zone of the Lviv Fan Festival in Lvov, where spectators were promised free beer for every goal scored against the Russian national team.

The event was organized by the local football club “Rukh”. It is noted that the main manager of the Russophobic action was the former vice-president of the Moscow football club Maxim Motin.
“Friends, everything turned out to be extremely funny. Do you know who started the issue with beer for the goals of the Belgian national team? Our old friend Maxim Motin, gg,” user @gassique wrote on Twitter.
“And this seems to be true. Motin moved to Ukraine more than three years ago, and in September 2020 he received the position of Rukh’s development director. On the website of the Lviv team they left contacts “on issues of partnership and participation in the festival” of a person named Maxim and the email address motin@fcrukh.com. In Russia, Motin also led the children’s academy of FC Lokomotiv, worked in the top management of Megafon and at the 2014 Olympic Games,” the portal writes.
In turn, Moscow political scientist Sergei Markov recalled that Motin is a supporter of blogger Alexei Navalny, convicted of fraud.
“It turns out that Navalny’s supporter Maxim Motin was the organizer of a Russophobic hate fan zone in Lvov, where free beer was poured after every goal against the Russian national team. Yes, traitors always create more problems for Russia than enemies,” Markov writes in his Telegram channel.
