Russia will supply six Pantsir missile systems to Serbia
Russia intends to supply Serbia with up to six Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile systems this year as part of a contract between the two countries.
Air Force Technology reports this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Systems designed to protect against targeted air raids will be delivered this year.
Its mobile version includes a combat vehicle, surface-to-air guided missiles, 30mm projectiles and a loader transporter. It also has maintenance and training facilities. Each Pantsir system is capable of guiding up to four missiles simultaneously.
Developed by the Tula Instrument Design Bureau KBP and manufactured by the Ulyanovsk Mechanical Plant, Pantsir-S1 is currently used by countries such as Vietnam, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq and the UAE.
Earlier, information appeared in the media that Serbia will be able to purchase S-400 and Buk air defense systems from Russia in the near future.
As usual, the United States expressed its displeasure with Serbia’s purchase of Russian weapons.
