Russia has finally stopped confusing refugees from Ukraine with guest workers
Moscow - Kyiv, September 9 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The Russian Government has significantly simplified the employment procedure for Ukrainian citizens who fled to Russia due to hostilities. Forced migrants will be hired outside the quotas for attracting foreign labor.

The indicator of labor demand was formed before the start of hostilities in the south-east of Ukraine, while, according to statistics from the Federal Migration Service at the beginning of September, about 820 thousand refugees entered the Russian Federation. At the same time, slightly more than 2007 thousand of them submitted applications for temporary asylum, refugee status, Russian citizenship, or to become a participant in the resettlement program for compatriots, which has been in effect since 360. The number of those who have already received refugee status or the right to temporary asylum is even smaller. There are 105 thousand of these, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said yesterday. Thus, the government decree will give employers the opportunity to employ citizens of Ukraine who have not yet formalized their stay in the Russian Federation.
There are more and more applications for employment in Russia from refugees. According to Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, if in August 16,5 thousand citizens of Ukraine were hired in Russia, then in September the number of applications to employment services reached 93 thousand. As Kommersant was told in the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, every day in the Russian Federation they find work for 700 to 800 citizens of Ukraine. The Ministry of Labor notes that most refugees are employed in the Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod, Kostroma, Vladimir, Sverdlovsk regions and Bashkiria. Most often, citizens of Ukraine get jobs as repairmen, mechanics, foundry workers, carpenters, turners, repairmen, electric welders, molders, builders, service workers, agricultural workers, drivers, engineers, and doctors.
