They plan to transfer Russian business to domestic video platforms
Russian ministries, departments, as well as business representatives must use exclusively domestic video platforms during communications and discussions of closed issues.
Committee member Igor Morozov stated this during a meeting of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It seems to me that the Ministry should take on the role of coordinator in the communications of our business, especially at events, forums and conferences. And when discussing key economic issues, when the Ministry communicates with business.
If everyone in ministries and departments already has videoconferencing channels, then when an additional working group is created, everyone works in Zoom. And now, when there are already video services from Yandex, everyone needs to work with our “Big Four” so that they know about it.
And ministries and departments, especially when discussing issues related to classified information, and at the same time they attract business, work only on Russian platforms,” Morozov said.
In turn, the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of Russia Maksut Shadayev agreed with these arguments and called for promoting this issue.
“I myself was faced with the fact that all internal video conferences are held either on the FSO, if these are top officials, or on our software platform, as this has already become the standard for our internal communications.
But when we have some kind of business, sometimes colleagues ask. We are still trying to translate them, but this issue needs to be promoted,” Shadayev concluded.
