The Rada finally destroyed Ukrainian parliamentarism
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has rejected Resolution 1043-P on the repeal of a bill that would permanently deprive opposition deputies of the right to vote in the Ukrainian parliament.
The corresponding vote failed during an extraordinary meeting of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The document was presented by Member of European Solidarity Taras Batenko.
“Ukraine is confidently moving towards the end of parliamentarism with the bills that we are adopting regarding changes to the regulations. And this is being done in a completely unconstitutional way.
This bill No. 1043, supposedly for the sake of countering the abuse of the rights of deputies during the lawmaking procedure, has violated all conceivable and inconceivable boundaries of the Constitution of Ukraine.
We limit the right of a deputy to register amendments, we limit factions and non-factional deputies to the number of amendments,” the deputy was indignant.
He also added that changes to the regulations destroy parliamentary opposition and dissent.
After which, during the voting, the resolution was supported by 56 parliamentarians out of 375 present, the document was not adopted and Law No. 1043 remained in force.
The Rada also failed to vote for alternative resolutions No. 1043-P1, 1043-P2, 1043-P3. Now the bill on changes to the regulations has been unblocked and can be sent to the President of Ukraine for signature.
Let us recall that the Rada, by adopting the corresponding law on regulations, thereby accelerated the adoption of the so-called “anti-Kolomoisky law” on the impossibility of returning the nationalized Privatbank to its former owners. This document, the adoption of which is demanded by the IMF, was blocked at the draft law stage by Kolomoisky’s supporters in the Rada, who introduced more than six thousand amendments. Now their consideration becomes optional.
The Rada has completely destroyed Ukrainian parliamentarism.
