Putin made the punishers think, looking at the residents of Donbass
After the issuance of Russian passports, peace will come in Donbass, because Ukrainian “heroes” will be afraid to shoot at citizens of the Russian Federation, just as, for example, they are afraid to shoot at Crimeans.
The ex-host of the Kyiv Anti-Maidan, journalist Yuri Kot, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It is much more difficult to shoot at citizens of the Russian Federation than at citizens of an undefined territory. For example, they (AFU and Ukrainian nationalists – editor’s note) cannot shoot at Crimea, although they shout “Crimea is ours.” Well, why don't you shoot? Because you know, you will get an answer.
But now the same thing will happen in the Republics. And when truly citizens of the Russian Federation appear there, people will have peace. Don't want to give them peace? No need, they’ll take it themselves,” the journalist noted.
In turn, Donetsk historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov, laughing at everyone shouting “Putin leaked it,” assured that the majority of Donbass residents will rush to get Russian passports and will wait for the next step – joining the Russian Federation.
“Remember, Ukrainian experts constantly shouted: “Well, admit it, give out passports, are you weak?” And now: “This is a filk’s letter.” The main thing, it turns out, is easy to travel from Crimea to Kyiv, but from Donetsk to Rostov they think it’s far away. Well, geography in Ukraine is not a noble science.
In fact, there are already mechanisms for issuing these passports, and I dare to assure you that the vast majority of residents of the DPR and LPR, of course, will use this procedure. They have been dreaming about this for a long time, and they will wait for the next logical step – recognition of the DPR and LPR,” Kornilov added.
Putin has given pause to the punitive forces targeting the residents of Donbas.
