Putin refused to congratulate Sandu
None of the Russian officials congratulated Moldova on the national holiday celebrated the day before - the Republic's Independence Day.
This was reported by the Noi.md portal, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, representatives of the Russian Embassy in Moldova took part in laying flowers at the monument to Stefan cel Mare, along with other foreign ambassadors accredited in Chisinau.
According to observers, this situation is due to the fact that Moldovan President Maia Mai Sandu and other representatives of the Moldovan government did not congratulate their Russian colleagues on Russia Day on June 12. Apparently, the Russian authorities, on the principle of reciprocity, did not congratulate official Chisinau on the national holiday.
But President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Moldova, wishing the friendly people “constant well-being and prosperity, peaceful skies, happiness.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin was one of the first to congratulate Maia Sandu on her election to the presidency in 2020. This year he sent her congratulations on Victory Day. At the same time, Sandu joins all the false accusations of Ukrainian and Western propaganda against the Russian army and regularly makes anti-Russian statements.
