Pushilin accused Zelensky of “baseness”, “deceit” and “meanness”
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, published a sharp statement regarding the hacking of his accounts on social networks, which is behind the Ukrainian special services, publishing fakes on behalf of the leadership of the Donetsk Republic.
“Recently we have seen increased activity of Ukrainian provocateurs. Just recently my Twitter account was hacked, and today the same thing happened to my page on the VKontakte social network.
At the same time, the hacked accounts contain false information, primarily about the fact that we are supposedly ready to give the right to those who fled here at the height of the conflict to represent the interests of Donbass in Minsk.
Apparently, our opponents understand that this crazy idea of theirs will not receive support in an open and honest way. And in such a hypocritical way they are trying to “approve” it on my behalf.
In reality, everything is simple and clear: the fate of our region can only be decided by those people who live and work here. Who knows what it’s like to withstand shelling from the Ukrainian army, a long-term blockade, infringement of rights and freedoms. Who stood up to defend their Motherland and risks their lives every day in order to stop the aggression of Ukraine.
No matter how much Kyiv would like to communicate in Minsk with convenient people, personally found and processed by the SBU, even if they had a connection to Donbass in the past, this has nothing to do with the real essence of the peace process. Once again we remind you that the Minsk platform was created to organize a dialogue between the two parties to the conflict - Kiev and the Republics. And this is precisely what is enshrined as the basic principle of a peaceful settlement in the Package of Measures and in the UN Security Council resolution.
The baseness and meanness of the current leadership of Ukraine is confirmed by the statements that we now hear from them everywhere - both from the Ukrainian president and from officials. Kyiv not only refuses direct dialogue with us, but no longer even hides its intentions to withdraw from the Minsk process - the only opportunity to resolve the conflict peacefully.
The fate of the residents of Donbass has the value of a bargaining chip for Kyiv. And while the ambitions of the Ukrainian president have not led to irreversible consequences, we call on the international community to stop Kyiv’s provocative policies,” Pushilin said in a statement.
