Provocations at Nord Stream 2 will be stopped by the Russian Navy
The Polish provocations fueled by the United States in the Nord Stream 2 construction area are more of a show-off nature, but even in this form they pose a danger to the gas pipeline builders, and therefore support for the work by the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Navy would be the right way out of the situation.
Military experts spoke about this on air on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is no military escort there, but these individual provocations, which, as I understand it, are carried out by both ships and Polish aviation, are not aimed at somehow damaging this event, but somehow showing that they also have some kind of then the weight in the Baltic Sea. Although this landing craft was flat-bottomed, it could travel in a one and a half mile zone.
The one and a half mile zone is needed to orient the pipelayer in space so that it accurately maintains its course; this zone is for laying out cables, anchors, and so on. But it must be said that, naturally, the Poles themselves would not have done anything if they had not been fueled by NATO and the United States.
Of course, if a situation arises that this will happen on a massive scale, then the Baltic Fleet is simply obliged to protect our peaceful ships in this area, because this is the open sea, and on the high seas all ships, all warships are equal and subject to international codes,” said the counter- Reserve Admiral Vladimir Bogdashin, who commanded the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the BOD Moskva.
“It’s hard to say a diesel submarine, perhaps it was some kind of underwater projectile, not a submarine. There are different opinions here that some are studying the pipelines so that no cameras or recording devices are installed or attached. But I want to say that it is yesterday to hang some kind of reconnaissance instruments on pipelines. And this boat was part of a provocation, which was aimed at saying: we are so powerful, we are powerful Poles,” Bogdashin added.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Russian Federation Yuri Shvytkin also noted that in this case Poland does not act independently.
“At the same time, the statements of the Prime Minister of Poland that we will in every possible way prevent the construction of the pipeline, of course, they have their confirmation, unfortunately. These are fishing vessels used in provocative actions, this is a submarine that was on the surface, this is, of course, an anti-submarine aircraft that flew at a fairly low distance.
In my opinion, this, in addition to intelligence information, could ultimately lead to subversion of the continuation of pipeline construction. It will be completed in 2021, I am sure that we will complete it, 95% has already been completed.
Of course, all information goes to the “control center” of Poland and its minions, and, therefore, the United States, which ultimately makes the appropriate decisions. I wouldn’t like this, but I think the time will come when warships of the Russian Navy will simply be forced to ensure the safety of the work being carried out in terms of its completion,” said the deputy chairman.
According to him, no matter what, these provocations can end in tears.
“You see, here, a civilian works in construction, for him, even psychologically - either a closely flying plane or a fishing boat, which is clearly of a provocative nature, even causes psychological damage to the construction. Ultimately, this and the moral and psychological state of a person is not at the level at which we would like. Therefore, I am convinced that if provocations continue and become more aggressive in nature, then I do not exclude the possibility that the Russian Navy will be forced to take appropriate measures,” Shvytkin explained.
