“Just houses with crosses.” Ukrainian Armed Forces declare Orthodox churches targets for strikes
The Ukrainian military in Donbass is firing artillery at churches, considering them to be sites where separatists are hiding and weapons are stored.
This was stated on the NTA television channel by former vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, deputy head of the nationalist party "Svoboda" Ruslan Koshulinsky, reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
According to Koshulinsky, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church should be prohibited by the law on collaboration.
“We are now talking about the law on collaboration, but the question is – does the Moscow church fall under this in this text of the law? Because those who fought know that besides the fact that it is called separatist, we did not call it anything else. As one artillery commander said: “Guys, if you’re shooting, don’t worry, this is a house with a cross, this is not a church.”
Because we knew for sure that there were weapons there, that there were separatists there - for sure. And during this time, so far, as a fifth column, as an organ of the FSB, so far the state power has not even touched it. And they know that this is a defense, they climb into it. Their number, even after the tomos in Ukraine, has not decreased much,” Koshulinsky said.
