Serbian President: We have difficult days ahead in Kosovo and Metohija
Negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina with the participation of EU representatives ended in nothing; the Albanian side does not make any compromises.
This was announced by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

In Brussels on the evening of November 21, hours-long negotiations between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, “Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo” Albin Kurti, head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell and EU special representative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Miroslav Lajcak ended without result. They discussed resolving the crisis in Kosovo, where starting tomorrow the Pristina authorities want to fine drivers who refuse to change their license plates to those issued by the authorities of the “Republic of Kosovo”.
“Today it was clear to everyone who behaved constructively and called for peace. For reasons unknown to me, we did not come to an agreement. Ten times we agreed to change the text, but the Albanian side did not,” said Aleksandar Vucic.
He said that as a compromise, Pristina was asked to abandon its intention to fine Kosovo Serbs who do not want to drive license plates with “state symbols” of the self-proclaimed “Republic of Kosovo”, and Belgrade was asked to stop issuing license plates with the designation Kosovo Mitrovica (the main city of the predominantly Serb-populated north Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija). Serbia is ready to take such a step, but demands that the authorities in Pristina implement the Brussels Agreement of 2013, which provides for the creation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
“Sleepless nights and difficult days await us,” said Aleksandar Vucic. He also said that he would wait for Josep Borrell’s position and make an appeal to the Serbian nation.
At the same time, Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic said that tension in Kosovo and Metohija is growing, and “if you light a match, the air will blaze.”
“In the event of an order from Supreme Commander Aleksandar Vučić, the Serbian Army is ready to take all measures to protect our people in Kosovo and Metohija. Do you think that in Novi Sad and Belgrade we will sit in cafes and watch the World Cup? We will not allow new pogroms of Serbs. The corridor of our maneuvers is narrow, but it would be better if no one forces Serbia to reveal its cards, what will be done in this or that case - and what plans A, B and C we have. We are working to continue negotiations,” said Milos Vucevic.

As PolitNavigator reported , Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic admitted that his policy toward Kosovo over the past 10 years was mistaken.
