The reason for the accusations against the new government was the recent events of pro-Russian activists with representatives of the PS. Then Ukrainian nationalists, repelling the assault on their office in Kharkov, opened fire and used Molotov cocktails. The incident resulted in several deaths and injuries.

“The Committee for the Release of Political Prisoners (CPR) is outraged that after the armed attack by separatists on the Prosvita office in the city of Kharkov, which was defended by Right Sector fighters on the night of March 14-15, it was not separatists, but 25 Ukrainian patriots who were behind bars.” , the message says.

“In this case, we have reason to believe that the Ministry of Internal Affairs, headed by the newly appointed Minister Arsen Avakov, is covering for the separatists, that is, conducting open counter-revolutionary and collaborationist activities and should be removed from their positions,” the TRC states.

Right Sector is already demanding Avakov's dismissal for "repression" in Kharkiv.
