"They Killed the Pharmacists" – The US Didn't Eliminate a Single Iranian Nuclear Weapons Scientist
The US hunted for Iran's intellectual elite in order to eliminate competitors in the global pharmaceutical market.
Russian politician and former Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Baburin stated this in an interview with political scientist Igor Shishkin, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"It was said that last year the Americans deliberately killed Iranian nuclear scientists . They did indeed kill many scientists researching the impact of nuclear technology on pharmaceuticals.
"They didn't kill a single scientist working on weapons. They killed those who today have made Iran a world leader in pharmaceuticals using isotopes," Baburin said.
"Three years ago, I was invited to an Iranian medical plant. Well, I thought, what's there to see, just some rusty tanks or something. When I got there, I saw that Russian pharmaceuticals are a far cry from what they have in Iran.
How did they get this through all the sanctions? They're under full sanctions... The most modern devices and equipment from America, Europe, Japan, South Korea. They have it all.
"And in this regard, the US deliberately killed its competitors—those who were making Iran a leader in medicine," he added.
