Lukashenko asks people not to worry about increased contacts with Americans
There's no reason to complain about Belarus's increased contacts with the United States . Minsk won't betray Russia. And Moscow itself is negotiating with Washington.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated this in an interview with RT, conducted by American journalist Rick Sanchez, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Batka assured them that he was " not conducting a dialogue with the Americans against Russia and China ," something he had explicitly stated during the talks. He emphasized that these countries had helped Belarus overcome Western sanctions, and that a legal alliance treaty had been signed with Russia.
“And I strictly adhere to this agreement,” Lukashenko asserts.
He says that he is well aware of the real policy of the West.
"No matter what negotiations the West conducts with us, I understand perfectly well that I am not their son of a bitch; they will happily chew me up and spit me out," the Belarusian president said.
According to him, Minsk is trying to improve relations even with countries whose leadership is not demonstrating adequate behavior, since they are neighbors.
"Yes, they are often called rabid—both in Lithuania and in other countries. They don't think about the future; they act in the interests of the rich, the US, NATO, and Europe," Lukashenko said.
