The US Embassy provides guidance on Twitter on candidates for the Supreme Court of Ukraine
The selection of candidates for the Supreme Court of Ukraine ended in a scandal. The US Embassy doubted their integrity.

This is stated in a message from the US Embassy in Ukraine on the Twitter microblog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A number of strong candidates were appointed to the Supreme Court, but still the integrity of many of them is questionable,” the statement said.

In the message below, the US Embassy directly instructed the Ukrainian High Council of Justice. According to the categorical opinion of American diplomats, the Council “must separately reconsider each candidacy.”

Let us remind you that on the evening of July 27, the High Qualification Commission of Judges (HQCJ) determined the winners of the competition for 120 positions of judges of the new Supreme Court. Among the 120 winners, 30 candidates were vetoed by the Public Integrity Council as not meeting the criteria of professional ethics and integrity.
The winners' candidacies will be reviewed by the High Council of Justice and then submitted to Petro Poroshenko for approval. The competition for the new Supreme Court itself began on November 7, 2016.
