After the completion of Nord Stream 2, Europe will spit in relief on Ukraine
Russia has 45-50 days left to complete the Nord Stream 2 project, after which the geopolitical importance of Ukraine for Europe will greatly decrease.
Ukrainian political strategist Andrei Zolotarev said this on air on the Internet channel “Politeka online”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
Therefore, the expert concludes, there is no need for Putin to attack Square yet.
“The Russian president has no need for an invasion now, if only because 45-50 days are left before the construction of Nord Stream 2 is completed.
After which, no matter what Merkel says about preserving the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine, let’s say this: Europe’s geopolitical dependence on Ukraine due to gas supplies will radically decrease.
Therefore, 45-50 days, and you will run into sanctions: shutting down SWIFT, turning into a rogue country. Putin has absolutely no use for this,” Zolotarev concluded.
As a reminder, Moscow previously stated that after the completion of Nord Stream 2, Russia could confidently cease recognizing the current Kiev regime and halt gas transit through Ukrainian territory.
After the completion of Nord Stream 2, Europe will be relieved to see Ukraine go.
