Kyiv, September 10 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Speaker of the US House of Representatives John Boehner invited President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to speak at a joint meeting of Congress on September 18.

This was reported by the press service of the head of the Ukrainian state.
“President Poroshenko’s speech in Congress is another signal of our support for the aspirations of the Ukrainian people. It will be a great honor for us to welcome the President of Ukraine to the Capitol,” President Beiner is quoted as saying on the official website.
“He recalled that Petro Poroshenko will become the second President of Ukraine who will speak in the US Congress,” they emphasized in Kyiv.
As PolitNavigator reported, Poroshenko is scheduled to visit Washington on September 18 and meet with US President Barack Obama.
