The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko surpasses the professional comedian Vladimir Zelensky in acting skills, but even this will not help him retain power for a long time.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Zolotarev said this on the YouTube channel “Povesti”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I don’t believe in the patriot Poroshenko, he is a patriot of his own pocket. He believes in what is beneficial for him at the moment. This breed of people who, being young, and at Komsomol meetings shouted the loudest when necessary, could even shed a tear. That is, he is a talker and a hypocrite. Zelensky, in comparison, is an aspiring artist. Therefore, Poroshenko will give everyone a head start in this regard,” he noted.
Also, according to Andrei Zolotarev, Petro Poroshenko can only win the elections by dishonest means, and even in this case, he will not last long in his second term.
“Poroshenko’s victory means much more instability than the victory of Tymoshenko or Zelensky. Napoleon III also talked about whether it is possible to sit on bayonets and continue to rule the country when more than half of the population does not accept you. Pyotr Alekseevich has the lowest social legitimacy and is in conflict with the elites.
Even if he imagines a result for himself, I admit that he can only get a second term through the “back door”, this must be understood. And in this case, his victory may turn out to be Pyrrhic; he risks not serving out his second term,” the expert concluded.
