Poroshenko goes to Merkel to negotiate ways of retreat
German media have revealed the existence of a “troll factory” in Poland, which is engaged in conducting various anti-Russian information campaigns on the Internet - now the “bot farm” has been involved in PR work for the upcoming visit to Germany of the still Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
The editor-in-chief of the German magazine World Economy, political scientist Alexander Sosnovsky, said this on air on the Russia-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday, literally, the Germans opened such a thing. In Poland, it turns out, there is a whole troll factory that creates fake information. Naturally, she works not only for Germany.
It is clear that the Polish troll factory, information battalions and regiments that are now working, including against Russia, they, of course, create a whole lot of different information bases about what and how is happening in Ukraine.
In particular, the topic of Poroshenko’s visit to Merkel is now being discussed. This is a very important topic. Poroshenko will come to Merkel, and everything will be decided. Let us look at this very briefly, piece by piece.
Firstly, Poroshenko’s visit to Merkel can no longer be regarded as a visit of the Ukrainian President to the German Chancellor. This is a person who is no longer practically president, but only a candidate.
Secondly, from the point of view of diplomatic protocol and ethical standards accepted in Germany, Merkel, I am one hundred percent sure, will not discuss with Poroshenko any questions about which candidate is preferable, can be elected and who will be supported by Germany.
Two issues will be on the agenda. First, Poroshenko will ask for money, because even after his visit to Berlin, if Berlin suddenly gives some money, he will have the opportunity to appease the public with something.
And the second question, Poroshenko will talk to Merkel about how he can get a residence permit after he loses, most likely, the second round of elections, if he gets into them.
I think that he will not receive either the first or the second, and Germany will very carefully watch what is happening in Ukraine,” Sosnovsky emphasized.
