Political strategist named Putin's most likely successor
Presidential aide Alexei Dyumin, recently appointed Secretary of the State Council, is the most likely successor to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Political strategist Yevgeny Minchenko, who came up with the "Politburo 2.0" model, stated this in an interview with political scientist Semyon Uralov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"It seems Dyumin has been given such a set of questions that he will duplicate the president's entire agenda in terms of control. The Secretary of the State Council is responsible for everything that happens in the country. Plus, he's been entrusted with the most crucial area for the current situation—the defense industry . Therefore, when they start saying that Dyumin is being groomed as a successor, I don't see any arguments against it yet," Minchenko said.
In his opinion, now in Russia there is a parallel “peace government” headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and an informal “power government” headed by Dyumin. The second cabinet includes members of the Security Council, heads of security agencies, relevant ministers, deputy prime ministers and “the new security elite, which included Putin’s former orderlies and adjutants.”
