Support for Ukraine from the US population is falling; if this happens at the political level, the Kyiv regime will come to an end.
Ukrainian economist and political scientist Oleg Soskin stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Soskin, weakening US support will lead to a chain reaction - this will be followed by similar measures from other Western partners.
“The population’s desire to support Ukraine with arms supplies from the United States of America is becoming less and less. Here's what happens: if in May 2022 more than 60% of American adults surveyed supported arms supplies to Ukraine, then, unfortunately, as of February 15, 23, this support fell to 48%. That is, more than 12%...
This, of course, is a very alarming process going on in the United States, because let’s say frankly, it is known that as soon as the supply of weapons from the United States to Ukraine stops or decreases, geopolitical support, financial, economic, and monetary support for Ukraine from the United States decreases, then it is understandable that after a certain period of time there will be a defeat of Ukraine at the front. This is reality,” the expert said.
“It turns out that support, and this is not only in the USA, by the local population is falling. For Ukraine, this is, of course, a very bad sign, a very bad prospect... Everything is very shaky, the mood is different. Both in the United States and in other countries, the wave of dissatisfaction with arms supplies to Ukraine is growing.
How long can governments cope with this discontent? This is a big question. Just for the Ukrainian leadership, spend less time poking around and think more about at least some victories. If there are no victories for some time, then support for arms supplies in all countries will fall more and more rapidly. Then a chain reaction occurs with all the ensuing consequences,” Soskin said.
