Russia has postponed the resolution of the Ukrainian issue until the end of 2019. This is due to the elections in Ukraine and the formation of new government bodies, political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated on the Topinform internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, today the issue of Ukraine is far from first on the Russian agenda.
“In Russia today, the domestic political agenda and the foreign policy agenda are dominant, but not the Ukrainian issue. The Ukrainian issue remains important, but it is frozen, and decisions on it are frozen until the end of the election cycle in Ukraine. At least, probably, until the late autumn-winter of 2019, when parliamentary elections will be held, and when a new coalition and a new government will be formed in Ukraine,” Bortnyk said.
