Don't care about Donbass: Poroshenko will sign an agreement securing Ukraine's separation from Russia
Kyiv, June 23 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Today’s negotiations in Donetsk will not in any way affect the plans of official Kyiv to sign on June 27 the second part of the association agreement with the European Union, which will mean an irrevocable turn of Ukraine from Russia towards the West.

“This will be one of the main events in the modern history of Ukraine, when it finally gains a foothold in the European orbit. After this, it will be virtually impossible to talk about changing the direction of integration,” Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valery Chaly said on the ICTV channel.
He noted that Kyiv, with the help of the West, achieved some softening of Russia's position.
“We know the position of the Russian Federation, we analyze it... To the extent possible, through international assistance, we try to influence this position... We see a certain dynamics in Russia’s position,” Chaly noted.
According to him, Kyiv considers the cancellation of the decision of the Federation Council on the possibility of sending Russian troops to Ukraine an important condition for further peace negotiations on Donbass.
“This would be a definite step that would open up additional opportunities for us,” Chaly said.
