Commotion in Kyiv: Russia is preparing a landing operation behind the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Russia is preparing to conduct an amphibious assault to drop troops from helicopters and find weak points in Ukrainian defenses.
Retired SBU colonel and military expert Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Starikov, this can be done with the onset of the warm season.
“Information has appeared that the enemy is preparing to land troops in our rear using combat helicopters. Of course, it won’t be possible in the mud, and when it dries out, it won’t be possible in the snow – it’s simply impossible. The situation is this: taking into account the fact that we have certain problems with reserves, the first line, naturally, is held by troops, and the second line should be held by territorial troops, there must be appropriate reserves,” the expert said.
“The most important task when creating territorial troops... in another way they are called rear defense troops. So, in order to prevent this, it is necessary to create a so-called second line, and reconnaissance must work so that helicopters are not actually thrown at our rear, and then they find a weak point and they penetrate. This needs to be done, I see that this is not being done,” Starikov said.
