The Pentagon admitted the loss of American armored vehicles in Ukraine
The United States is transferring dozens more units of armored vehicles to Ukraine, because those previously received during the battles are out of action and destroyed.
Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder announced this at a briefing in Washington, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Thus, the United States, among other things, will transfer 30 M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and 25 Stryker armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
“I am not going to go into detail about the capabilities of Ukrainian troops and their status on the battlefield. The opportunity that we give them, we've talked about this before, is that we're very focused on securing and sustaining that fight. I emphasized earlier: in the heat of battle, you can expect equipment to be damaged, to be destroyed.
It's a fight, and a tough fight, so we're providing additional armored capabilities, additional ammunition, additional breakthrough capabilities. All this is done to give them the opportunity to survive this fight,” Ryder said.
