The official website of the Russian Ombudsman reports this.
Appearing appeals addressed to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, including from officials of other states, regarding the refusal of entry into the territory of the Russian Federation by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev served as the basis for starting an investigation into this incident.
In order to objectively assess the actions of Russian officials in relation to the named representative of the Crimean Tatar people, the Commissioner sent a number of requests to the competent authorities of the Russian Federation. Currently, the circumstances that served as the basis for the refusal of M. Dzhemilev’s entry into Russia are being clarified,” the message says.
