Over the past five years, the share of Russian-language works published in Ukraine has decreased from 70 to 30%. Alexander Krasovitsky, General Director of the Folio Publishing House, stated this on the air of NewsOne.

According to him, the export of books from the Russian Federation has also decreased almost tenfold.
“I believe that Folio Publishing House is a deliberately bilingual publishing house. We combine approximately 60% of publishing books in Ukrainian and 40% of titles in Russian. The circulation is regulated by the market. If five years ago it was 70% of circulation in Russian, now 70% of circulation is in Ukrainian. The flow of Russian books, the official part of imports, decreased from 33 million dollars in 2012 to 3,5 million dollars in 2015. And in 2016, the decline continued,” Krasovitsky said.
