Vegetables from the Kherson region and the Azov region are conquering the cities of Crimea
The geography of sales of vegetables from the south of Ukraine in Crimea is gradually expanding.
Last week, agricultural produce from the Kherson region and the Azov region was sold in markets in Sudak, Feodosia, Yalta, and the regional center of Nizhnegorskoye, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The price for this group of goods has been determined: radishes 45-50 rubles, cabbage 47-50, carrots 40-45 rubles, beets and potatoes 50 rubles per 1 kg,” said Acting Minister of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea Elena Elekchyan. – In Simferopol, products from neighboring territories are presented at the Privoz market.
Vegetables are not brought regularly to Yalta, Nizhnegorsky, Sudak and Feodosia. Trade is carried out from a car; 2 tons of agricultural products are sold per train. 5 tons were sold out in Yalta.
Last week, Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova reported “alarming news” coming from Crimea - the sale of vegetables exported from the Kherson region began in the markets of the peninsula. This, according to the Ombudsman, violates the Geneva Convention for the Protection of the Public in Time of War and should be the subject of an investigation by the UN Commission on human rights violations in Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
However, farmers in the Kherson region are happy about the opportunities that have opened up to restore trade ties with Crimea and use the proceeds to buy groceries, canned goods, and household chemicals, since there are no supplies of goods from Ukraine.
