“Practice missiles in Crimea 24/7” - Lviv military expert
In order for the VFU to be able to shell the Crimean peninsula, they need to capture, at a minimum, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
This idea was expressed by Ukrainian military expert Alexander Kovalenko on the Lvov NTA TV channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Today, the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot carry out any military operations to liberate the Crimean peninsula, because we first need, at a minimum, to liberate the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Even when the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are liberated, we will not be able to launch any offensive actions to de-occupy the Crimean peninsula.
First of all, this will be a rather protracted period when the Ukrainian Armed Forces will methodically, gradually, step by step, 24/7, destroy Russian objects and military installations on the territory of the occupied Crimean peninsula. That is, destroy all military infrastructure. When the military infrastructure of the Russian occupiers of Crimea is destroyed, then it will be possible to talk about counter-offensive actions directly on the peninsula,” the “expert” reasoned.
He also complained that Ukraine does not yet have enough long-range missiles, otherwise it would be possible to hit the Crimean Bridge today.
“This is a very important goal today in order to carry out a missile strike on this object, but we need to get closer to it, that is, liberate part of the Zaporozhye region, at a minimum, so that the destruction of this object is as effective as possible. Or, who knows, maybe we will have a weapon that will be capable of delivering strikes up to 500 kilometers. If we have such weapons, then we can strike the Kerch Bridge even today,” Kovalenko shared his analysis.
