Protasevich’s revelations: “Nechta” was planned to be made a Russian resource
The extremist telegram channel “Nekhta” was supposed to be made a Russian resource after the victory of Belomaidan.
Former Nekhta employee Roman Protasevich, who was recently arrested in Minsk, stated this in an interview with the Belarusian television channel ONT, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Even then it was discussed that after the end of the active phase of protests, the NekhtaLive channel would become Russian. This caused me great indignation, because from a media point of view this is the biggest asset. There was talk about creating a separate channel for Russia. From the point of view of the media business, this is not surprising: to take a leading position in one country and enter neighboring countries where, in principle, the brand is already well known. But to transfer the most important channel to the Russian agenda - for me, to be honest, this still remains a big mystery. Perhaps this can be explained by the fact that 70% of the subscribers were from Russia,” Protasevich said.
According to his data, the Belarusian audience of “Nekhta” is 500 thousand people.
