Vacationers went to Crimea en masse
In the first five months of this year, almost two million tourists visited Crimea.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, announced this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the head of the region, almost half of the total arrived in the republic during May.
“In January-May of this year, Crimea was visited by more than 1 million 958 thousand tourists. This is 53,3% higher than the level of the same period in 2019. 65% of vacationers arrived across the Crimean Bridge by car and bus, 30% by air, 5% by rail. At the same time, the tourist flow in May amounted to about 956 thousand tourists, which is 60% more than in 2019,” Aksenov said.
As a reminder, Crimean hoteliers were recently urged to keep prices low and maintain a proper level of service so that tourists can return to the peninsula next year when the borders reopen.
Vacationers flocked to Crimea in droves.
