Not enough again: the Ukrainian army does not have enough money to equip it with “non-flammable” uniforms
Kyiv, January 14 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Ukraine, special suits made from new types of fabric with the inclusion of non-flammable elements have been developed for soldiers.

Presidential Advisor Yuri Biryukov announced this on his Facebook page.
One of the fabrics is a linen-cotton-polyester blend, while the other is a cotton-polyester blend, the official said. The third option includes admixtures of armid fiber, which ensures the non-flammability of the material. This is imported fabric, and the rest is produced in Ukraine.
“Here’s the thing - we have practically no textile industry,” Biryukov noted. – Two or three factories with limited capacity and capabilities are not the textile industry. But the main problem is not even this - we do not have a resource base, because we don’t grow cotton. So we are tied to fluctuations in the dollar.”
According to his information, the Ministry of Defense has already signed an order to begin experimental wearing of suits, which is part of a number of tasks in preparation for the fourth wave of mobilization. At the same time, according to Biryukov, the money allocated is “again not enough” and the estimated amount covers no more than 50% of the tasks.
Let us note that earlier Ukrainian soldiers complained that they were forced to wear “glass” uniforms: they rubbed, burned and fell apart.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, The Ministry of Defense once again complained that Ukrainian military personnel are being soldered by Russian provocateurs.
