They forgot to issue an operating license to the operator of the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline
Chisinau, September 12 (PolitNavigator, Petr Alekseev) – They forgot to issue a license to the operator of the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline, inaugurated on August 27. The Westmoldtransgaz company cannot start the gas pipeline because it does not have permission to do so.

The license for the operator should be issued by the Moldovan National Energy Regulatory Agency, but all the necessary procedures have not been completed, although Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca promised that Romanian gas would flow through the pipeline on September 1, Moldnews reports.
The license must also indicate the tariff for fuel transportation, which is still unknown. The Moldovan government plans to comment on the situation only next week.
The 43-kilometer Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline, connecting the energy systems of Romania and Moldova, is designed to ensure the energy security of the Republic of Moldova. It was previously stated that it would help Moldova take advantage of the diversification of energy supplies to the country and stop depending on Russian gas.
