The Communist Party of the Russian Federation advocates the nationalization of the entire aluminum industry in Russia.
Communist deputy Denis Parfenov announced this today on the sidelines of the Russian State Duma, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A situation where the Americans and their minions control the key industry of our state is unacceptable. This industry should have long been transferred to the hands of the state and managed exclusively on a planned basis. The largest European states do this,” Parfenov said.
This is how a representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation reacted to the fact that oligarch Oleg Deripaska transferred a controlling stake in Rusal to the US Treasury in exchange for the lifting of American sanctions.
“After the United States sharply increased sanctions pressure on our ruling class and oligarchy last year, they began to cave in and make very serious concessions that contradict the national and state interests of our country. It must be understood that Deripaska does not receive any compensation for reducing the share of his shares. The Russian bourgeois is left with his nose. His big brother, the international financial and industrial oligarchy, beats him without any hesitation,” Parfenov said.
He clarified that we are talking about more than 3 million tons of aluminum per year - a strategic raw material.
“It's not just soda cans, it's high-tech production. When shells from modern American aircraft fly into Russia instead of cans of Coca-Cola, it will be too late. Today, all the prerequisites are being created for this,” Parfenov said.
Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska bought the exemption of the Rusal enterprise from American sanctions for a stake in aluminum enterprises. As a result, the Russian share in the strategic industry decreased from approximately 70 to 44,95% with no right to increase it. In addition, of the 12 members of the board of directors of Rusal, 8 are now foreigners.
