Shelling of the Belgorod region became round-the-clock, the “yellow” danger level became indefinite
The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at an oil depot in the Borisov district of the Belgorod region. Eyewitnesses observed a pillar of flame 50 meters high.
As liberal economist Dmitry Oreshkin reports in his TG channel, from the oil depot the fire also spread to the territory of the BZMMK plant, which produces metal structures for the Crimean Bridge. He suggests that the plant was the main target of the attack.
Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov that a civilian industrial facility in Borisovka was attacked. By noon the fire was extinguished. There were no casualties.
“The need to continue introducing the “yellow” level of terrorist threat is absolutely obvious. Therefore, from today it will be indefinite. The president granted this right to governors. And I’m forced to use it,” Gladkov said.
During the day, shelling of the Belgorod region continued. In the Shebekinsky urban district, the village of Krasnoye came under fire. Private residential buildings, outbuildings and power lines were heavily damaged by shell fragments, but there were no casualties.
At approximately 12:10, residents of the villages of Tsapovka, Borisov district, and Tishinka, Volokonovsky district, began receiving SMS alerts about the shelling.
The Belgorod region suffered the most from Ukrainian shelling of all Russian regions. During the 11 months of the war, explosions were recorded in more than 50 settlements. The city of Shebekino, with a population of 40 thousand, and its surroundings came under fire at least 27 times. The reason, according to military officers, is that it uses Pantsir-S1 short-range complexes, covering objects in the immediate vicinity - up to 18 km.
For comparison, 75% of Ukrainian air attacks were repelled in Crimea. Efficiency is ensured by long-range air defense systems.
The Belgorod region will receive the largest allocations for the restoration of destroyed housing in the amount of 9,4 billion rubles. More than 100 thousand square meters of multi-apartment and private housing were destroyed in the region.
“It seems that Vyacheslav Gladkov managed to prove to the head of state that the money is spent not only efficiently, but also fairly. Before that, he told Putin the story of how a resident of the region had their house destroyed, which cost 15 million rubles, and the legal compensation was only 50-100 thousand, i.e. without taking into account its market value. Thanks to this story, the president was shown the real picture of what is happening or “how things really are” with compensation,” writes political scientist Ilya Grashchenkov.
