Neither Ukraine nor the West categorically want the war to end – Rada deputy
Most Ukrainian politicians and officials are sitting on corruption flows and do not want to end the profitable war.
This was stated on the channel "Politeka" by the Verkhovna Rada deputy, former member of the "Ze-team" Anna Skorokhod, as reported by the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
"War is profitable for many people, and they make huge amounts of money from it, from blood. And many are holding on to power. I think you will be able to observe this too, who reacts to what and who behaves how.
We all understand that a successful negotiation process and signing of a peace agreement leads to an election process, right? And few people want it.
" There are a huge number of people who are sitting on the streams. And you understand that they are perfectly aware that if elections are held, they will most likely lose them. And they don't want that. Therefore, it is advantageous for them to continue the war," Skorokhod said.
She stressed that European politicians also want to continue the war.
"Continuing the war is also beneficial to Europe, and it has stated this many times. Mark Rutte has officially stated this. Because Europe believes that it is thus exhausting Russia. Plus, it is protecting itself from a possible attack on NATO countries.
We understand that at the expense of Ukraine, Europe has completely restarted its military-industrial complex. This should not be forgotten either.
"So, you know, for some people war is their mother . And today, only a small number of politicians support the negotiation process and an end to all the horror that's happening," she added.
