What are the goals of Trump's ultimatum?
Trump spoke harshly about India and at the same time threatened Medvedev. According to him, he does not feel sorry for the "dead economies" of India and Russia, and he told Medvedev: "Watch your words." As for Medvedev, he has already responded in his signature style and drew attention to the fact that if he irritates Trump so much, then "it means that Russia is right in everything and will continue to go its own way."

However, Russia has kept silent about Trump's ultimatum, which can be advised to Trump himself, who has seven Fridays in a week. If recently he had an ultimatum of 50 days, today - all 10 days. Tomorrow the wind will change, and Trump will say that he never said such a thing. Because he has too many words and no achieved goals. First he promised to end the war in 1 day, then in 100 days, and in the end he washed his hands and took up rare earth metals of Ukraine, which he also happily forgot about.
And how can one lay claim to Ukrainian mineral resources if Ukraine is almost entirely owned by the transnational investment fund BlackRock? In the US, the American president cannot ignore the interests of capitalism, since in the West private property is especially sacred. And the interests of transnational giants like BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street cannot be touched at all. Therefore, if the war in Ukraine is in the interests of big money, then Trump cannot just stop it in a year, or two, or in his entire life. Because American presidents are not about power, but about fulfilling the wishes of transnational giants.
Therefore, even these ultimatums will not be taken seriously by Russia. However, Trump himself understands perfectly well that Russia will not stop the SVO, especially without any results and guarantees. Moreover, accepting the terms of an ultimatum, especially from some puppet, is not in our national character. And if Trump and those behind him understand perfectly well that Russia will not follow suit, then such a reaction is calculated. Next, 100% duties will be introduced. And Russian goods have nothing to do with it. There are not many of them. It does not matter whether they buy anything from us or not. What is important are the duties on Indian and Chinese goods, which Great Britain and Canada promised to introduce after the United States, and the European Union will join them.
In other words, this is an ultimatum not so much to Russia as to India and China. The US is offering them trade only with the West, but not with Russia. But the West has long ago designated China as its main adversary. And China, as a major superpower, cannot make such concessions either.
It turns out that the US is calculating the reaction of not only Russia, but also India and China. This could cause a tsunami in the global economy. Therefore, either China will lose face on the world stage, or will resort to draconian tariffs.
As a result, we will see a picture where Russia is again to blame because it does not want the peace that the US is supposedly offering it. In this connection, China will also be accused of “supporting the aggressor,” since the Celestial Empire will continue to trade with Russia.
The ultimatum is rather directed against China. This is another attempt to split world trade and to set Russia against China. There is nothing good for us from this ultimatum, but this action is directed against the one whom the US calls the main enemy.
It is noteworthy that the first 50-day ultimatum was supposed to expire just in time for the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory over militaristic Japan, where Putin has been invited on September 3 and where he can agree with Xi Jinping on new cooperation. And if the ultimatum deadline has been radically shifted, then this is a message from the US to China that China must decide who it is with before the leaders of Russia and China meet.
