President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is not happy that his subordinates cannot solve a single problem without his participation.
He announced this today at a meeting on countering the coronavirus epidemic, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Where is our president? Look, I report to people every day on TV what I'm doing. I can’t treat people every day from morning to evening. For this I have a whole ministry and thousands in white coats. Not dirty and black, but white.
If we haven’t got enough grain, but the corn is good, then we need to cover the shortage of this grain with corn. And it was necessary to sow winter crops on time. And this should also be on the President's radar. And they seem to have imposed sanctions on us. I also need to be aware of this and deal with this issue. And thousands of such questions. Not a country, but a kindergarten. They lost the president - he doesn’t heal people. “Okay, I’ll start treating you tomorrow,” Lukashenko flirted.
Russian political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev believes that behind Lukashenko’s tirade lies his desire to evade responsibility for the situation with coronavirus in Belarus.
“It is worth paying attention to the fact that when the question of power is raised, Lukashenko rushes with a bared mouth at anyone who questions his authority. But that’s when the conversation begins about responsibility for people’s lives, i.e. NOT for the shortage of corn and the number of cattle, but really about the survival of the nation, since citizens of the Republic of Belarus get sick and die, then the arrows are immediately turned to other responsible comrades,” Suzdaltsev wrote in his Telegram channel.
