If the United States leaves Ukraine and stops supporting it, NATO will face disaster and collapse.
Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen stated this at the debates in Washington, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, now everyone - both allies and opponents - is looking at what the United States is doing in supporting Ukraine.
“The least we can do is step up efforts and continue to provide military assistance so they can defend themselves. And this isn't just about Ukraine—it's about making sure our NATO allies understand that the United States will continue to stand up to aggression.
If the United States leaves, the NATO alliance will begin to fall apart. It also sends a terrible message to other countries around the world, other autocrats who are watching very closely what the United States and our allies are doing regarding Ukraine,” Van Hollen wailed.
