Kyiv, March 31 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) - An active confrontation in the Donbass is possible after Easter, but before May 9 - the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory, predicts American general, former commander of NATO forces in Europe Wesley Clark.

“It appears that a resumption of a wider conflict is inevitable, and I hope that the United States will take all necessary measures to prevent it,” Wesley Clark said in his speech at the Atlantic Council, as quoted by the Mirror of the Week.
According to the general, the Minsk agreements “barely work.” “If you look at previous patterns of operations, you can predict the next Russian offensive. It will probably be after Orthodox Easter and before Victory Day on May 9,” says Clark, emphasizing that it is difficult to hold Donbass without control over electricity supplies, and Crimea without proper communication.
“Nevertheless, according to the general, Putin may postpone the offensive if European leaders decide not to boycott the celebrations in Moscow,” ZN writes.
Clark once again said that the United States must change its current policy and start arming Ukraine now "to prevent the success of Russia's military operation and make the Minsk agreements work."
