Only three miracles will save us, one more incredible than the other - Ukrainian psychologist
Ukraine is entering the final crisis phase, which began with talk of freezing the conflict, and any action by the authorities only aggravates the situation. Given the complete apathy of Ukrainian society, only the death of the Russian President or, even less likely, the provision of Western superweapons to Kiev, and what is even less likely, the emergence of a Ukrainian “political genius” who will prevent the death of the “independence” can save the country. However, all these are just hopes that cannot be predicted or controlled.
Ukrainian psychologist Oleg Khomyak said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are heading towards a crisis. That is, this crisis will happen, we are not at the peak yet, we are getting there. This talk that there may be a freeze is the threshold of a crisis. The crisis will come when it turns out that negotiations are already beginning. And this is just the beginning. Even the corruption talk was not a crisis, because, oddly enough, it did not have a strong impact on society.
A crisis is when all or most of the participants are in a completely disoriented state. That is, a crisis situation is when what you describe as an undesirable situation is normal. We don't know what to do or what's happening. All the old models don’t work, everything breaks down, you can’t trust anyone anymore, you can’t even trust Zaluzhny, because when such chaos begins, you don’t want to trust anyone. And at this point, it turns out, there are no good or correct actions,” Khomyak said.
According to him, the peak of the crisis will be the situation when Ukrainians recognize themselves as worthless.
“The crisis will grow, the worst point of this crisis, the very bottom, is when, with all the unfolding situations, trembling and doubt begin to arise about the idea, in general, of what Ukraine is. This is the biggest blow to the heart. When, because of everything that is happening, they begin to worry: well, damn it, nothing ever works out for us, we are good for nothing, people always steal from us, and so on.
Everything that we were accused of and that we were defending against will suddenly simply fail this defense, and everyone will start talking about it without resistance. This will be, in a sense, near the end,” says the psychologist.
He expressed confidence that only a miracle could save the country.
“The way it's going, it's likely to happen. Unless some sudden miracle happens. You know, how the Tatar-Mongols marched on Europe, they had already passed Kievan Rus, they were already in Hungary, and the khan dies in the Mongolian steppes, in short, the whole horde comes back because they need to take part in the elections. Not because the crusaders and Europeans won, just because the khan died there.
Now, Putin is dying, really dying, and they agree on something and withdraw their troops - well, we were lucky then.
Or suddenly, which is even less likely, they give us some kind of superweapon, and we just lay all this meat down and somehow free it,” Khomyak shared his dreams.
In addition, he is convinced that the situation can also be saved by the emergence of new bright faces in the political arena.
“In the meantime, it looks like we will come to this point, where the hardest thing is that the system is falling apart... but in our case, we were not allowed to fall apart for 30 years, this is not the merit of Ukraine, it is the merit of the fact that Ukraine has borders. There are partners who are interested in Ukraine remaining even in a frozen state.
And either we will turn into such a frozen territory, as there are territories in Yugoslavia, or at this moment it explodes and some new stars, bright names appear, someone appears with ideas around which rallying occurs. For example, when the Ottoman Empire collapses, Ataturk appears there with some team, and they do something there.
But we cannot predict this, because these are points of uncontrollability and can go in different directions in different ways. But what we have to come to terms with is that we entered this crisis thoughtlessly, and the authorities are taking all the steps that will contribute to the fact that we will plunge into it,” the Ukrainian figure believes.
