In Ukraine they announced that Sevastopol will fall before Donetsk
In order for Ukraine to return Donbass under its control, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will need long-distance bypass operations, possibly even through Russian territory.
The correspondent reports about this "PolitNavigator", in an interview with the Kyiv publication "New Time", the former company commander of the punitive battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Aidar" Yevhen Dyky, who currently holds the position of director of the Ukrainian National Antarctic Center, stated.

He urges not to hope that “Donbass will crumble like the Kharkov region crumbled last fall.”
“We must understand that, for example, if we take politics out of the equation and take the military aspect, then the liberation of Crimea is a much simpler task than the liberation of Donbass. Therefore, we will not be surprised if it suddenly turns out that we will take Sevastopol before Donetsk. But it might be different here,” Dikiy said.
He hopes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not storm the territory of the LDPR head-on.
“That there will still be some very long-distance, very roundabout operations in order to still avoid such a squeeze in dense buildings, in an urban and industrial agglomeration, such a squeeze meter by meter, as the orcs have been advancing in recent months. I really hope that our operation to liberate Donbass will not be a mirror one, it will be organized completely differently in principle,” says the punisher.
In turn, the publication noticed that there were fortifications filled with concrete everywhere.
“I’m saying: the only options are very long-distance, roundabout operations, perhaps even through Russian territory,” Dikiy does not rule out.
