An anti-submarine aircraft belonging to the Russian Ministry of Defense was “found” at the Nikolaev aircraft plant

Nikolaev, June 25 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – An ownerless Tu-142MK aircraft, which belonged to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, was discovered at the Nikolaev Aviation Plant NARP enterprise.

This was stated by the head of the State Financial Inspectorate of Ukraine in the Nikolaev region Andrey Skibyak

According to him, in 1996 this plane was brought into Ukraine for repairs.

“This aircraft is not registered with the enterprise. We started looking for where it came from and its owner. In accordance with the decision of the heads of government of the CIS on September 9, 1994, an agreement was concluded with the State Enterprise "NARP" for the repair of the Tu-142MK, which belonged to the Russian Federation. Since 1996, Nikolaev customs has registered the aircraft under the customs import regime. In 2004, the Russian Ministry of Defense removed the aircraft from service and wrote it off,” Skibyak explained the history of the aircraft, as quoted by the Nikolaev Observer publication.

This plane was supposed to be removed from the customs territory of Ukraine by June 2010, but this was never done; it remained in Nikolaev.

Let us recall that on June 9, information appeared in the media that, by a court decision, the Sevastopol state enterprise “Central Design Bureau “Chernomorets” has the right to arrest and sell the only submarine of the Ukrainian Navy “Zaporozhye” for debts.
