A Ukrainian journalist claims that Poroshenko stopped applauding Merkel after hearing from her about the Russian-European union
Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, German Chancellor Angela Merkel called the war in Donbass an internal Ukrainian conflict, Ukrainian journalist Yuri Dudkin reports on his Facebook page.

“Just now, in Munich, Frau Merkel called the war in Donbass “an internal political conflict in Ukraine.” No “Russian troops” for you, but only Russian support for the separatists. The Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany breaks the templates of Ukrainian propaganda. But they don't give up. Already now, all TV channels are misrepresenting the Bundeschancellor’s speech in the most sophisticated form,” the journalist said.
He also added in the comments to the recording: “Sitting in the hall and listening to Merkel, P. Poroshenko even stopped applauding when he heard from her lips about the union of Europe and Russia from Vladivostok to Lisbon.”

Answering questions from journalists after her speech, the German Chancellor urged not to bury the Minsk agreement.
“We were unable to ensure a ceasefire for a period of more than three to four days. So, from a formal point of view, we cannot begin the political process now. But since we are reasonable people, Ukraine has declared its readiness to begin parallel work. Therefore, various contact and working groups have been created. I encourage you not to talk about failures, but to focus. on ensuring success,” Merkel said.
“Of course, it would be great to fight with Russia against Islamist terror, build trade relations, create a free trade zone from Lisbon to Vladivostok, but we cannot abandon the principle of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and many other countries to which we owe. Therefore, we must make significant efforts, despite disappointments and setbacks, and continue on this course,” added the German Chancellor.
